Residence permit for subordinate seasonal work
It is compulsory if you want to stay in Italy for seasonal work
The employer, within eight days from the arrival of the foreign citizen in Italy, has to book an appointment for at the front desk for immigration (Sportello Unico per l’Immigrazione) in l’Aquila in order to allow the worker concerned to apply for residence permit.
- 1 Passport size photo;
- 1 € 16,00 revenue stamp;
- a copy of your passport or equivalent document;
- documentation concerning the employee’s accommodation;
On a certain date both employer and foreign worker must go to the front desk for immigration (Sportello Unico per l’Immigrazione) providing all the documentation requested.
The foreign worker has to sign the residence contract without any change to its terms and conditions.
The residence permit application form has to be filled out and printed by the front desk for immigration (Sportello Unico per l’Immigrazione) once the residence contract has been signed.
When the foreign worker signs the residence permit application, he/she receives a certificate attesting his/her fiscal code and an envelope containing all the necessary documentation in order to obtain the residence permit, that must not be closed and must be submitted to the authorized Post Offices with a receipt of the payment made by using the pre-printed postal paying-in slips.
At authorized post office, the foreign worker will be identified by passport or other equivalent document.
The post office issues a receipt containing two personal identification codes (user ID and password), that can be used to check the status of the application by logging on to the website www.portaleimmigrazione.it.
The police headquarter (Questura) will issue the electronic residence permit according to conditions stated by the law.
